Chicago Women of Noise Showcase
July 30, 2010
Transistor, Chicago, IL

The Chicago Women of Noise Showcase was an evening of performances programmed by Anna Gregoline.  This was Monica Panzarino's first public performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner" with the aid of “The Nipulator”, her custom-built electronic bra.  The bra uses hardware potentiometers (or knobs), an Arduino microcontroller, and a Max/MSP software patch to process Panzarino’s voice in real-time.  The right "nipple" of the bra manipulates the frequency of Panzarino’s voice, while the left "nipple" adds reverb.  The evening's other performers included Right-Eye Rita, Rebecca Pavlatos of ONO & Anna Gregoline of feedbacula.
